Anne Marie Bailey, of Hanover Township, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026, at the age of 88.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on April 29, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Frank “Kayo” and Ann (Altavilla) Bock.
Anne Marie was a graduate of Hanover High School and went on to work as a dedicated bookkeeper at Stackhouse Auto Electric, where she was known for her reliability and strong work ethic.
A longtime and faithful member of St. Leo’s Church, Anne Marie found joy in her community and especially loved playing bingo, a pastime that brought her many friendships and fond memories over the years.
She is survived by her beloved husband, David Bailey; her children, Scott Bailey and his wife Maria of Hanover Township, and Shellianne Hindman and her husband, Lee, of Imperial, California; her cherished grandchildren, Lindsay, Brandon, Bryan, and Amanda; and her great-grandchildren, Madison and Callan. She is also survived by her sister, Francine Cieri and her husband Frank of Yonkers, New York and one niece, Krista.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Geraldine Bock.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Leo's the Great Church, Ashley on Monday, April 6, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. Friends and family are welcome to greet the family from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at the church. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Family Funeral Service, Wilkes-Barre.
