ANDREW F. SLACHTA

Andrew Frank Slachta, 62, of Effort and Philadelphia, died Sunday evening, July 21, 2019, at his home in Philadelphia.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Andrew Slachta and Fannie Voila Slachta (nee - Stinnette) and was a graduate of Abington High School.  He was proud to be a stay at home dad and was a Cancer Fighter Ambassador.  Andrew enjoyed spending time with his family and hunting and fishing with friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his lifelong friend and "brother", Charles Michael.

Andrew is survived by his loving wife, Shawn Callaghan and daughter, Jessica Lynn Slachta.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at 12:00 noon from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 403 Berwick St. White Haven with Reverend Debbie North officiating.  Interment will follow in Laurel Cemetery, White Haven.

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
