Andrew J. Claypotch, Jr. 86, of White Haven passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital.
Born in Pardeesville, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary Novotny Claypotch, Sr. Andrew graduated from Hazle Township High School and served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked at the Spalding Bakery and was an aide at the White Haven Center, prior to retiring. He was an active member of the United Methodist Church of White Haven.
He enjoyed an occasional trip to the casinos with his special friend, Violet, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family. Andrew was known as a “ Jack of All Trades," willing to help anyone.
He is survived by his children: Mary (Frank) Claypotch Purta of Wilkes-Barre; Andrea Shelly Hissick of Hazleton; Caroline Claypotch and companion Jeff Zalutko of Drums; sister Mary Jane Lombardi of Drums; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Andrew is also survived by many step children and step grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wives, Edna Becky Burns Claypotch and Beverly Dempkosky Claypotch; two infant sons; step son, step grandchildren and sister Caroline Cabell.
Due to the pandemic there will be no services at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the United Methodist Church at 900 Buffalo Street, White Haven, PA 18661.
