ALBERT DRAHT Obituary

Albert Draht, 83, of Wilkes-Barre died on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

 

Born in Russia, he was the son of the late William Draht and Anna Chatkevitch was a graduate of GAR High School.  Al served his country proudly in the United States Army and was a truck driver, prior to retirement. He enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles and Packers Football; swimming and most all sports. He loved spending time with family.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Harris and brother Reinhard Draft.

 

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Maria Isabele Torres Draht; daughters, Alissa (Robert) Connelly of Ardmore, PA, Elizabeth Draht of Hanover Township; step children, Maricelys Guzman and Maritza Guzman; grandchildren, Captain Alec (Janna) Connelly , Addison Connelly, Alexis Sargent, Cadet Jude Sargent 6 step grandchildren especially Catalina with whom they shared a special bond, three step great grandchildren; siblings, Olga Marrash of Florida, Marilyn Zlobik of Kingston and several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral service, with military honors, will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 1:00 pm from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre. 

 

Friends are invited to join the family for a visitation from 11:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
