Willard C. Morgan, Jr. of East Side Borough, White Haven, died Thursday, August 23, 2018, in the Mountain Top Senior Care and Rehab, Mountain Top.
Born on March 29, 1931 in Wilkes-Barre, Willard was the son of the late Willard C. Morgan, Sr and Louise Fox Esser Morgan and lived most of his life in the White Haven area. Willard served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was the recipient of various metals which included the Korean Service Medal with One Bronze Service Star, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Willard was a Postman, providing 33 years of service to the United States Postal Service prior to retirement, enjoyed playing horseshoes and golf in community leagues and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan.
He was preceded, in addition to his parents, by his son Edward W Morgan and his brother, Frank B. Morgan, Sr.
Willard is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Timko of Audubon, Pennsylvania, her husband Tim and two grandchildren, Erik and Nicole.
Graveside service with Military Honors will be conducted on Friday, August 31, 2018, at 11:00 am in Laurel Cemetery, White Haven with Reverend Michele Kaufman officiating.
