Thomas William Hughes Sr. of Foster Township, and Penn Lake passed away at home on 10/17/2017.

 

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of David and Helen Kuhns Hughes. He attended Meyers high school, Penn State extension WB, and MTI N.Y.C. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army, and the Naval Reserves during the Korean war. He was a Building Construction Superintendent of high rise projects in N.Y.C., Baltimore MD., and Barnett Memorial Hospital Paterson N.J. He served as the Chief Building Inspector of the city of Wilkes-Barre, retiring after 20 years of service.

 

Along with his wife Rosalie, they owned and operated T Ros café in WB. He recently received his 50-yr. pin from the Masonic Lodge.

 

He was preceded in death by his daughter Patricia Sitko.

 

He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 yrs., Rosalie A. Bolcarovic, sons Thomas Jr., wife Lynn, David, wife Karen, and Patricia’s companion Kent Yakubowski. Grand Children J.P. Sitko, wife Barbra, Nicole Surrichio, husband Chris, Kaleen Sitko, companion Ryan Curtis, Zachary Sitko, companion Chrysie Garcia, Samie Salko husband John, along with 8 great grandchildren.

 

No Viewing, A celebration of life will be held at a future date with the immediate family members
