SAMMY NAZMY

Sammy Nazmy, of Plains, formerly of Pembroke Pines, FL, died Monday, May 7, 2018.

Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of Billy Nazmy of Plains and Shari Cooperstein of Pembroke Pines, FL and was a graduate of Hatboro Horsham High School. Sammy worked with his father at the family business, Valley Diner, Wilkes-Barre and was a Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles Fan. He was always active and enjoyed playing baseball, soccer, indoor roller hockey and snowboarding.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Melvin Cooperstein, paternal grandparents, Yehia Nazmy and Samiah Nazmy.

Left to mourn his passing, in addition to his parents, is his maternal grandmother, Beatrice Cooperstein his half brothers and sister, Yehia Mohamed and Donia Nazmy; uncles Scott and Steven Cooperstein, cousins and extended family.

Funeral service will be on Friday, May 11, 2018, at 1:00 pm at the Lehman Family Fuenral Service, Inc. 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre.

Visitation will be from 12:30 pm until time of service. Burial in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
