MICHAEL MILLER Obituary

Michael J. S. Miller, 77, of Wilkes-Barre, died at home, Thursday, September 6, 2018.

 

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Richard S. and Ella F. Prince Miller and was a graduate of Plains High School. Michael served his country proudly, in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War, retiring as Sergeant First Class, after 22 years of service. While in the Army he worked in the Pentagon and later went abroad working undercover. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal among many other medals. Following his Military service, he joined the United States Postal Service, sorting mail until his retirement. He enjoyed watching movies, liked spending time outdoors and gardening.

 

Michael is survived by his brother, David Miller, Wilkes-Barre; sister, Judy Fedor, FLA; nieces and nephew.

 

Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, September 14, 2018, at 12:00 noon from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre. Interment with military honors will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Plains beside his parents. Family and friends may visit from 11:30 am until time of service.
