MARIA JIRAU Obituary

Maria L Jirau, 88, of Wilkes-Barre, died Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Guardian Elder Care Center.

Born in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Malave and wife of the late Juan Luis Jirau.

She is survived by sons: Angel, Manuel, Alexander and Tony Jirau; daughters: Maria Torres and husband, Antonio and Jacqueline Ford; sister, Julia Gonzales and brother, Manuel Malave. She had several grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Luis Jirau; daughter, Daisy and son, Jimmy.

Memorial Mass for Maria will be conducted on Friday, December 20, 2019, at 9:00 am in St. Nicholas Church, 226 S. Franklin St. Wilkes-Barre.
