Joseph Henry Hoffman, 78, of Wilkes-Barre, formerly of Plymouth, where he lived and raised his children, died Friday, August 10, 2018, in the Gardens At Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Henry and Freda Davis Hoffman and served his country proudly in the Untied States Navy. He was employed by Pompay Dodge, Kingston for 35 years as a Mechanic and Ron’s Motor Sports and Noldes Garage in Plymouth, prior to retiring. He enjoyed building and flying RC Model airplanes, dancing and singing karaoke. He was a member of the Wyoming Valley RC club from Moon Lake for around 15 years
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brother, Henry Jr.
Joe is survived by his companion, Rosemarie Bielecki; daughter, Lori Ellen Hoffman and her husband, Larry Wolfe, Jonestown; son, Charles Hoffman and his wife, Judith, Hunlock Creek; grandchildren, David L. Hules; Shawna Hules; Kassandra Hules and Matthew Hules; great grandchildren, Aveah Mcgrady; Avan Mcgrady; Tomas Garcia; Anthony Garcia; Roberto Ortiz; Yeiziel Ortiz and Yanielis Ortiz; sister, Virginia Richards, Hanover Township; brother, William Hoffman, Wilkes-Barre; sister, Deborah Zimmerman, Lancaster and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 pm, Friday, August 17, 2018, from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre, with a visitation from 4 to 6 pm.
