Joan L. Kennelly, of Kidder Township, died Saturday, May 26, 2018, in Mountain Top Senior Care, Mountain Top.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Myrtle (née Lynch) Hillyer, and was a graduate of Mastbaum High School, Philadelphia.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and very much enjoyed working in the church kitchen with her friends.
She enjoyed Bingo and spending time with her family and friends. She was employed as a private secretary for Abbotts Dairy in Philadelphia, prior to retiring.
Joan is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Retired Philadelphia Police Officer, Frank Kennelly; sons whom she was very proud of, Philadelphia Police Lieutenant, Frank Kennelly and his wife, Philadelphia Police Officer Michele, Philadelphia; Philadelphia Police Officer, Sean Kennelly and his wife, Mary Ann, Philadelphia; Michael Kennelly and his wife, Cynthia, Kidder Township; nine grandchildren and her dog Abbie.
Memorial Mass will be conducted on Saturday, June 9, 2018, in St. Patrick’s Church, 411 Allegheny Street, White Haven, at 11:00 am with Reverend Michael Kloton officiating. Friends may call from 10:00 am until time of Mass at the church.
