ELIZABETH (BETH) VROTKOSKI

Elizabeth (Beth) Mary Vrotkoski, 82, of Askam section of Hanover Township, passed away to her loving God and eternal peace, on Friday, January 19, 2018.
She was born in the Newtown section of Hanover Township, to Frank and Genevieve Morton Schappert and went to Hanover Township School graduating in 1953. She was very active in Askam PTA, serving as Vice President of that organization. The Askam - Warrior Run - Sugar Notch Little League, serving as secretary. A girl scout leader for many years, as a Brownie, Junior, and Cadet leader. She was the secretary of the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Charles Church, which she was a member for many years. She was also an avid reader and did ceramics for many years.
She is preceded in death, besides her parents, by her beloved husband of 44 years, Albert J. Vrotkoski, Sr.; a granddaughter, Theresa Marie Kelly and grandson, Albert Joseph Vrotkoski III; sisters, Mary Zavada, Patricia Mitura and brothers, F. Jude Schappert and sister Ruth died in infancy.
Surviving are her children, Theresa Brock and her husband, Jonathan of Randolph, MA; Albert J. Vrotkoski, Jr; Elizabeth Mary “Liz” Vrotkoski; Leo Vrotkoski, all of Askam; Joanne C. Kelly and her husband, John, of Lee Park section of Hanover Twp.; Rebecca Kemmerer, of Askam. She is also survived by grandchildren, Jonathan and Megan Brock of Randolph MA; Emily and Amber of Nanticoke; Kimberly, Michael and Matthew Kelly of Lee Park and Steven, Christopher and Scott Kemmerer of Askam; great grandchild, Aaliyah; sister, Anne Gola of Askam, Hanover Twp. and sister in law, Jean Schappert of Hanover Twp, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at 8:30 am from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Leo Holy Rosary Church, 33 Manhattan St. Ashley, at 9:00 am with Reverend Vincent Dang officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Sugar Notch.
Friends may visit from 4 to 7 pm on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the funeral home and Saturday morning, from 8 am until time of service.
