Clayton V. Searfoss, 90, of White Haven died in Celtic Hospice, Wilkes-Barre March 6, 2018.
Born in White Haven he was the son of Raymond Henry Searfoss and Mable Elizabeth Searfoss. Clayton was a devout Christian whose priority was his faith. Clayton served in the US Navy in the 1940s touring all the way to the Philippines. Clayton ran an automobile repair shop in White Haven in the 1960s and went on to work almost 20 years for PP&L as a line truck mechanic and shop foreman.
Clayton enjoyed spending time with family, collecting farm equipment, and watching classic Western films.
Clayton was married to Mary Hartranft Searfoss in 1947 until her passing in 2004. Clayton is survived by two children; James E Searfoss of White Haven and Arlene Shupp of Tunkhannock, PA; grandchildren: Kimberly Shupp of Tunkhannock, PA Bryan Shupp of Pittston, PA; Jamie Searfoss of Rockledge, FL; great grandchildren; Bryan J. Shupp and Katie Wynn of Pittston, PA; Alex Hackler and Sophie Searfoss of Rockledge, FL.
Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at 11:00 am from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 403 Berwick St. White Haven, with Reverend Thomas Ramsay officiating. Interment will follow in Blakeslee Cemetery, Blakeslee.
Friends and family are invited to the funeral home from 4 to 7 pm on Monday, March 12, 2018 and on Tuesday morning, from 10:30 am until time of service.
