Joseph F. Kovack, of White Haven, died April 25, 2018. He was born in Philadelphia, grew up in Kennett Square and West Grove, and spent summers in Rockport, PA. He was a graduate of Salesianum High School and Niagara University, and attended the University of Eichstaett, Germany for graduate studies. Joe was a retired special education teacher at White Haven Center.
Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Francis and Elizabeth Shearon Kovack, and his brother, Daniel Kovack, he is survived by his wife Judy, daughters Stephanie (Jamie) Hansen and Kelly (Rick) Delgado, grandchildren Will, Abby, and Mia and nieces and cousins.
Joe was a charter member of the White Haven Center Lions Club and of the St. Patrick's Knights of Columbus Council #10616, as well as a member of the Chapel of the Four Chaplains. He enjoyed photography, traveling, watching the Phillies and Flyers, and telling stories to his grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 11:00am at St. Patrick's Church, 411 Allegheny St., White Haven, with burial in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 10:00am until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Patrick's Building Fund.
