John Joseph Klosko, Jr, a resident of Bear Creek Township, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Celtic Hospice after a three year battle with cancer.

 

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late John Klosko Sr and Stella Mackiewicz and graduated from GAR High School, attending many trade schools to further his education in diesel engine repair.

 

John was employed by Pagnotti Enterprises in West Pittston for 28 years retiring after 10 years at Wilkes-Barre Truck Center.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Regina Kemmerer.

 

Surviving is his wife and best friend, Rosalie, beloved stepson John William MacIntyre andsisters, Lorraine Kemmerer, Florence Zelinka, Rita Kuklewicz and brother Raymond Klosko.

 

John had a great love of animals and always had a Cocker Spaniel at his side, Summer will miss him terribly.

 

Jack was a caring, devoted and loving son, husband, step-father, and uncle and will be deeply missed by his family and all that knew him.

 

The family would like to acknowledge the excellent care and compassion he received from Dr. Patrick Kerrigan and the staff of the Hart Medical Center and Dr. David Greenwald and the staff of Medical Oncology Associates. Their kindness will be remembered forever. We would also like to sincerely thank our Bear Creek neighbors who helped us through this difficult time, words are inadequate.

 

Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at 9:00 am from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 689 Hazle Ave. Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. Leo/Holy Rosary Church, 33 Manhattan Street, Ashley. Reverend Vincent Dang will officiate. Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Twp.

 

Visitation will be Friday, December 29, 2017, from 5 to 7 pm and on Saturday, from 8:30 am until time of service.

 

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in his name, to Medical Oncology Associates, 382 Pierce St., Kingston, PA 18704 and Hillside SPCA, P. O. Box 233, 51 SPCA Road, Pottsville, PA 17901.
