Edmund V. Koester, died Friday, October 6, 2017, in the VA Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre with family by his side.

His story began in Brooklyn, NY where he was born and then married Rose Ann Brady. He served his country in the US Army and then made Bronx, NY home and raised his children there. Later in life he made White Haven his home where he enjoyed the Casino life and poker games.

He is survived by his five children, Trudy Muniz, Peter Koester, Betty Witkowski, Valerie Koester and Edmund Koester, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and his brother, Kenneth Koester.

Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
